Or maybe we could start a whipround...

Feast yer eyes

ETA: Just spotted that there are a couple of nice letters from LC featured on the Ebay page. Love the way he refers to "your/our car". What a sweetie...

One just like that (well, maybe not quite so shiny ... in fact it's a tiny bit battered-looking, though not bad) appeared a couple of blocks away recently and is always there now when I go past .... guess they are rather cool vintage these days! And how childish of me is it that I smile every time I see it, just because I'm thinking "hey, that's one of "our" cars" *g*

There's a black Capri parks in the next street to us, and I often manage to quite innocently walk past it (even though I'm actually heading in the opposite direction! *g*). And I have a cheesy grin on my face while I'm doing it too!

It's in a very good shape, looks fantastic. And the letters- interesting, I wonder if they are on offer too. Thank you for pointing to it!

What a find! The Safehouse *needs* this car. Couldn't we collect milk bottle tops or something?

And that handwritten letter, sigh.
The caption comp. winners would take it in turns to look after it so garaging wouldn't be a problem. : )

I could really see this livening up the caption competition even more! :)
Wouldn't it be great?
Except, if the winner was overseas...

Oh blimey! Where's a few thousand quid when you need it? That's just all kinds of brilliant, and Pros connections aside, it is a pretty decent set of vintage wheels.

14 bids already show me that the car like the show is still very hot with many people. Thanks for finding this!

Oh, just... oh... And the letters - how nice are they?! It could be our Pool Car, sort of the opposite of the CI5 pool, one car for many people to share... we could park it outside the Pros Slash Bed and Breakfast, and... *sighs more*

LC always writes such gorgeous letters, doesn't he! I'm blown away by his generosity and helpfulness here, he didn't need to offer the photos or to help... Actually this rings a bell, isn't there a car magazine article about this Capri and the guy getting in touch with LC...? I'll have to have a little dig around tonight for it.
