londonronnieWe've had a 90 minute power cut tonight, the first one I can ever remember having in the 21 years that we've been living in this house.
Thank goodness for 35 year old unopened boxes of candles which have quietly resided in the cupboards under various sinks in various houses that we've occupied during our married life. Thank goodness too for the wind-up radio!
It just so happened to be a brilliantly moonlit night tonight, so we opened the curtains, lit the candles and listened to Classic FM. Very cosy it was too.
And I'm just thinking that the next time we have the house to ourselves I may just recreate the mood and see what transpires...
